How do I reopen a discharged case ?
Purpose:
To provide clinicians with instructions for reactivating previously closed patient cases in HelloNote EMR when additional treatment is required, ensuring continuity of care documentation.
Scope:
This article covers:
- Reopening discharged cases for individual patients
- Restoring documentation capabilities for reopened cases
Excludes: - Reopening cases discharged by other providers
- Bulk case reactivation
- Automatic note generation upon reopening
- Billing implications of reopened cases
Procedure:
- Locate the Patient:
- Select the patient whose case needs reopening from your patient list
- Access Case Notes:
- Navigate to the patient's Notes section
- Reopen the Case:
- Click Actions
- Select Reopen Case from the dropdown menu
- Verification:
- Return to the patient's profile to confirm case status shows as "Open"
- New notes can now be created for the reactivated case
