How to prevent users from finalizing notes if the POC is expired?
Purpose:
To provide administrators with instructions for enabling a system setting that prevents users from finalizing clinical notes when a patient’s Plan of Care (POC) has expired, ensuring compliance with documentation and billing requirements.

This procedure covers:
- Accessing the POC Expiration Lock setting in Case Settings > Note Rules

- How this setting prevents note finalization when a POC is no longer valid
Procedure:
- Navigate to Case Settings > Note Rules
- Locate and enable POC Expiration Lock
- Save changes

There is a new Setting in Case Settings > Note Rules > POC Expiration Lock
This will prevent users from finalizing notes if the POC is expired.
