Can claims go to billing right after therapists finalize their notes?

Purpose:

To explain how HelloNote EMR can automatically process and submit finalized notes for billing, reducing manual intervention and streamlining the claims submission process.

Scope:

This article covers:

• The process of enabling automatic claim scrubbing/auditing upon note finalization
• How error-free claims are automatically sent to the clearinghouse
• Where to review claims that require manual intervention (Billing → Claims → Ready to Send)
• The requirement to contact HelloNote support to activate this feature

Procedure:

1. Contact HelloNote support to enable this feature
2. Once enabled:
   1. The system will automatically audit finalized notes
   2. Error-free claims will be sent directly to the clearinghouse
   3. Claims with errors will appear in Billing → Claims → Ready to Send for review

To enable this feature, please reach out to our support team, and we will enable this for you.

This feature will allow us to automatically scrub/audit the claim once a note is finalized, and send it to the clearinghouse for billing if no errors are found.

Only claims with errors will need to be reviewed in the Billing -> Claims -> Ready to Send section.

We can also enable auto-release from the clearinghouse to submit the claim to the insurance without having to login to the clearinghouse.
