Disable Carryover
Purpose:
To provide clear instructions on how to enable or disable the Carryover feature when creating or updating a case, allowing therapists to control whether draft notes pull from existing notes or start as blank.
Scope:
This procedure covers:
- Accessing the Disable Carryover setting when creating a new case from the Note Tab.
- Modifying the Carryover setting on an existing case via the Actions menu.
- The impact of this setting on note generation (blank notes vs. pulled-from-existing notes).
Procedure:
- When creating a case from the Note Tab:
- Click on + Add.
- Under Note Rules, find the Disable Carry Over setting.
- Enabling this allows therapists to generate unlimited draft notes, including blank notes or notes pulled from existing ones.
- For an existing case:
- Click Actions on the Case.
- Select Update Case.
- Under Note Rules, toggle Disable/Enable Carry-over as needed.

When creating a case from the Note Tab click on + Add
Under Note Rules is the setting to Disable Carry Over - This will now allow therapists to generate unlimited draft notes, including choosing to generate a BLANK note or pull from an existing note.
Another way to access this is once a Case has already been created
Click Actions on the Case > Update Case
Under Note Rules is the option to Disable or Enable Carry-over
