Why does the minutes in the Recommended Treat do not Auto compute?

Purpose:
To explain and resolve the automatic time calculation functionality for treatment minutes based on Medicare Part B billing requirements.

Scope:
This clarification covers:

• Automatic minute calculation exclusive to Medicare Part B cases
• The 8-minute rule application
• Case type configuration requirements

Procedure:

1. Verify the case type:
   • Navigate to the patient's case details
   • Confirm "Medicare Part B" is selected as the case type
2. If using another case type:
   • Minutes must be entered manually
   • Automatic calculation will not occur
3. For Medicare Part B cases:
   • System will auto-compute minutes following the 8-minute rule
   • No manual entry required

Note:
The 8-minute rule only applies to Medicare Part B therapy services for proper reimbursement calculations.

The case type has to be set to Medicare Part B, units will not automatically populate since the 8-minute rule does not apply if the case is not set as Medicare Part B
