How do I assign a date range to the patients insurance?

Purpose:

To guide users in setting or modifying effective date ranges for patient insurance coverage in HelloNote EMR, ensuring accurate billing and compliance with payer requirements.

Scope:

This article covers:

1. Adding new insurance with date ranges
2. Editing existing insurance date ranges 
   Excludes:
3. Insurance verification processes
4. Adding new insurance providers to the system
5. Bulk updates to multiple patients' insurance

Procedure:

For New Insurance:

1. Select the patient
2. Navigate to Insurance Tab
3. Click Add Insurance
4. Specify Start Date and End Date

For Existing Insurance:

1. Locate the insurance plan in Insurance Tab
2. Click Action > Edit
3. Adjust the Date Range as needed
4. Save changes

To do this simply chose a patient and click on the Insurance Tab



Add Insurance allows you to specify the date range 



You may also Edit the Date Range by clicking on Action on the Insurance that you need to update
