How to restrict people from creating/editing/checking in patients in the schedule?
Purpose:
To control schedule modifications by limiting appointment creation/editing to administrators while maintaining check-in capabilities for clinical staff.
Scope:
This security feature:
- Restricts schedule modifications to administrators only
- Allows all users to check patients in
- Prevents non-admins from:
- Creating new appointments
- Editing existing appointments
- Removing appointments
- Applies to individual patients via Patient Checklist
Procedure:
- Navigate to the Patient Checklist
- Locate the Schedule Lock option
- Check the Schedule Lock box
- Save changes
Result:
- Locked patients will show a padlock icon in the schedule
- Non-admin users can still:
- View the appointment
- Check the patient in
- Only administrators can modify locked appointments

This feature is located on the Patient Checklist. Just check the "Schedule Lock" item and it will prevent any non-administrator user from modifying the schedule. Users will still be able to check patients in, just not modify/remove appointments for this patient.
