How do I check eligibility through Inovalon ?
Purpose:
To guide users through verifying patient insurance eligibility via Inovalon's clearinghouse portal, ensuring coverage validation before treatment and accurate billing setup.
Scope:
This article covers:
- Accessing Inovalon's eligibility portal
- Submitting and reviewing eligibility requests
- Secondary location setup (same NPI/EIN scenario)
Excludes: - Initial Inovalon account setup
- Eligibility troubleshooting
- Multi-payer eligibility checks
Procedure:
Eligibility Check:
- Log in to Inovalon Portal
- Launch Claims Management Pro
- Navigate to Patient Tab > Eligibility
- Submit request → Check response after processing
Secondary Location Setup:
- Inovalon: Add under primary location
- HelloNote: Append state abbreviation to office name (e.g., "Physical Therapy PLLC-CT")

1. login to the portal - https://providercloud.inovalon.com/
2. Click launch Claims management Pro > Submit
3. Go to Patient Tab > Eligibility > Request > Check Response after few minutes
How to create a secondary location
- If the NPI and EIN is the same then we just need to add the second office location in Inovalon under the primary location. In HelloNote we are modifying the office name to match to the correct listed name in Inovalon. Eg. Physical Therapy PLLC-CT we added the state at the end of the secondary office name to identify the diffrence of the secondary location vs the primary.
