How to Generate a New Claim Number

Purpose:

To guide users on how to generate a new claim number

Procedure:

1. Submit the claim from HelloNote - Ensure the claim is successfully transferred to the clearinghouse.
2. Log in to the Inovalon Portal - Access your Inovalon Clearinghouse account.
3. Navigate to Claims - Go to Claims > Professional. Search for and open the specific claim.
4. Review and Modify (if needed) - Check the claim details. Make any necessary corrections.
5. Save and Validate - Click Save and Validate to process the claim through system edits.
6. Release the Claim - Click Release to move the claim forward.
7. Check Claim Status - Once the claim reaches ACK_FINAL status, a new claim number (Payer ICN) is generated.
8. View the New Claim Number -Go to the Events tab. Click Final Acknowledgement. Select View Ack to see the updated claim number / Payer ICN.
